BH tipped arrows reading nock high??

Bare shaft is fine.  Little weak, but I figure feathers to stiffen them a little.  Fletched arrows are dead nuts.

BH tipped arrows porpoise up (nock high?).

What could cause this (I know nock too high....I'm talking about the discrepancy).

Broadheads magnify any tuning problems even more than bareshafts.

Shooting bhs is the final step when I am tuning. Jeremy is correct. Sounds to me that your nocking point is slightly high or you need to play with brace height to see what changes. In any event, if you get the bhs to shoot perfectly, your other arrows will do the same.

How much can brace height affect THIS scenario?

I'll bet you need to raise your nock point. If I bare shaft and get the arrow flying perfect. A fletch shaft will porpoise. Raising my nock point 1/16" to an 1/8" will cure the problem.

P.S. I personally don't like to fiddle with my brace height once I have found the spot that the bow likes best(smoothest in the hand + quietest = most efficient)

You don't have issues with feather clearance with bareshafts.My guess is you need to go up a little with nocking point.Bareshafting is best used just to find the right arrow spine.Everything else needs to be done with broadheads. jmo
