I shoot a lot of hunts using a Sony PD 170 on a Manfretto tripod. It is almost impossible to shoot video of yourself without a blind so my first suggestion would be to get a blind or a buddy to help filming. It is very very hard to find a buddy that will give up hunting time and leave the gun or bow at home to film you so it may be better to find a blind. As far as your set up goes you do basicly the same things you normally do. I do not have a tree mount for my camera yet so most of my video is shot from a blind that is the only difference. I will say it is harder to get the perfect shot and the perfect video at the same time it takes much practice and much patience to pull it off but it is worth it in the end when you can sit down with family and friends and show them your hunt instead of just telling them about it.
