Im shooting the Ad Trads, with a 260 tip, a 100 gr brass insert. Total arrow weight 715 gr. My arrows are 31 1/2 inches BOP.

Thanks

Rick, FOC stands for "Front of Center", or how much weight in percentage is positioned in front of the balance point of the arrow.

We'll need a couple things to calculate it -

1) Total Tip weight (or 260+100insert = 360gr)
2) The gpi of your arrows
3) the total weight of the rear of your arrows (weight of feathers, nock, and any adapters)
4) The total length of your arrow (carbon edge to carbon edge prefered, unless they were cut to nock center)

This should be enough for us to get you an idea.

I can tell you right now though, with that much weight out front, you'll be over 15%FOC easily.  Those AD Trads are heavy arrows though, so that won't help your overall FOC.

Odd, can't edit my own messages...

Anywho, rough guess at 10.5gpi, your overall FOC is 22.3%

I couldn't edit mine either wihill. That's why I posted twice instead of changing the address. Must be a gremlin in the works.
