Saw the other thread regarding Abowyer and Grizzly broadheads...wondering whether someone has had opportunity to compare them with the GrizzlyStiks lineup.    I just received some 175 gr. Samurai bh's and I am very impressed.         Any thoughts?

Tim,

I was thinking about trying some for my Africa trip this summer. Are they really, really sharp (I mean shaving sharp)?

They look like a single bevel Silver Flame (Markus at SF thinks the same....)
One man thinks he can, the other doesn't. Both are right!

Red Boar

Scott, yes they are very sharp.  Not "Silver Flame sharp", but then nothing is.  I really wish Markus would develope a single bevel head.  One thing I can say for sure, these Samurai's fly perfectly out of my bow.  You can feel the twisting effect when extracting them from a foam target as well.    :saywhat:

I guess I just can't justify spending more on 3 broadheads than I did my first trad bow! I am glad to hear you like them!
The man who thinks he can and the man who thinks he can't are both right!!!

You make a good point, Jamie...imagine my disappointment if I hadn'd liked them.    :saywhat:   I plan on using them on my hog hunt at Ray's in July.  I will take lots of pics and post a report on how they performed.

I have been looking at those same broadheads for a while.  Plan to pick some up for this seasons elk trip.  Only thing that bothers me with them is the aluminum ferule, but you cant make a steel one in 175gr.  How well are they holding an edge?
