I am in need of waterproof, high top, comfortable, hunting boots.

I hunted at Ray Hammonds in Feb. We had lots of water and mud to stalk through on the hunt. My Muck boots were plenty waterproof but were not really made for miles of walking. My feet were killing me after 3 days of hunting.

I am looking at the Cabelas Pinnacle boot as a possible solution. I am not sure if a zip up boot would be snug enough to be comfortable for stalking.

Any feedback on these boots?

best boots I ever bought, have been using them hard for three years without any problems. They just started leaking alittle, but shoe goo fixed the problem. Very comfortable and inexpensive. I've used them in texas hog hunting, montana elk hunting, and bear deer and turkey hunting on the east coast.

Thanks longbow1.

I'm going back to Ray's in Oct. I found on my last hunt there is some specialized gear needed for hunting hogs in wet areas. I already picked up a Thermacell and a Gore Tex rain jacket. I'm also looking at the Cabela's bowhunter vest to carry all the stuff needed for a day of still hunting.

These things generally are not needed for my typical after work quickie hunts for PA deer.

I'm already working on Birthday and Christmas 2010!  :)

I just read the reviews on cabelas site and it looks like several people had issues with the waterproofing. Haven't had em though so I can't say for myself.

I plan to get a pair of the Wolverine Whitetails. There only 8 inches tall so not exactly the same style as your looking at but a friend has em and loves them. They seem very lightweight and flexible for stalking pigs. I just wanna ask him to check where there made. I'm trying to find some US made boots.   :)            Good luck! , Chris

I primarily spot and stalk with these boots.  They are really comfortable, but I've had one boot that the rubber sole came off, and now two others that are slowly coming apart.  I really like them, but I don't think they are built for rugged terrain.  I still hunt with them because they are light, inexpensive and comfortable.

My bro-in-law lives and hunts in UT - He chases muleys and elk with them pretty hard and he swears by them.

Hey thanks guys.

I'm only 2hr from the Wheeling WV Cabelas. I will be over that way later in the Spring. I think I will try a pair on and then make my decision.
