I have a Big River R/D Longbow. 64", 55# @28". I draw the bow 31.5-32" It is a fast flight bow and the sight window is cut to center.

I'd like to shoot the CX Maxima arrow shaft as it is 33" long and provides adequate clearance once I get a broadhead on. I have a Maxima 250 with the standard insert and a 200 gr. tip. It flies excellent but is way to light ...total arrow weight is only 460-470 grains.

Will I be able to add an additional 125-150 grains of point weight to the 250 without running into weak spine issues or, do I need to go to 350's?

Thanks!

Bigriver

How about the weight tubes? Otherwise, I think you will need the 350`s at that length if you front load them that much.

That is the main reason I shoot the heritage 250`s, for weight without frontloading or weighting them. I shoot the same bows as you, but my arrows are 31.5" They usually end up around 540 grains.

Shoot the Heritage 250 with the 200 up front, it will weigh right around 550 all set up. Shawn

What is the maximum length finished arrow I can get from a Heritage 250 or Heritage 350?

Just curious what your going to hunt.  That's plenty for whitetail sized animals.  And I've killed an elk with lighter weight and a few less grains.

Try the 350 with 100 grain brass incert with same weight tip should get you around 600. With your draw and weight this could end up a bit week
you might have to go to a .300 and load the front, IMO (your results may very)

Here is what worked out of my set up. Full length CX Heritage 250, four-fletch, 100 grain brass insert, 250 grain field tip. Total arrow weight 733 grains , 26% FOC. Perfect arrow flight. Very little arrow drop at 15- 18 yards. Best of all the bow is very quiet and stable.
