Someone told me that one of us Trad Gangers had a chart such that if you know the model and serial number of your Damon Howatt bow, you can determine exactly what year the bow was built.  I've got one from the "early 70's" but I wonder just which year it was built.
Can anyone steer me to the site or the member that might have that chart?
Thanks.

Bump for that... I have a Howatt Mamba I would like to date as well.
Everybody loves archery... some just haven't tried it yet.

I have a Howatt Coronado that I would love to know the exact year of.

Larry Hatfield aka larryh is the man when it comes to Howatts and Martins.

Thanks, David.
He's probably going to want to skin you alive for this.
Or maybe not.

Y'know, Larry Hatfield isn't gonna be around forever. Ya reckon anybody with influence could convince him to compile a record of sorts for all the potentially puzzled possessors of Howatt bows?

a picture in a post or email showing the riser and serial # can usually do the trick. we have a reference sheet that works for most bows. there are earlier bows, 40's and 50's that either don jewett or i can usuall date and identify on a bow by bow basis. there were damon built self bows in the late 30's that had "timberline" written on them, for instance.
don has worked here since 1959. i am a newcomer, only been here since january 2, 1961.
you can email to howattarchery@compwrx.com, or larry@compwrx.com.

Thank you, Larry.
..."only been here since january 2, 1961..."  Later that year on October 1, as a 10th grader, I went bow hunting for deer (not that far from where Fred Bear hunted, really) for my first time.  I've been hooked ever since.
