Is there a way to make a carbon stiffer other than cutting it off? I have some that are still a little weak and I can't cut them off any more...Howard

Well the easiest way is to tune your bow to shoot the weaker spine.A slight change in centershot will allow you to use the arrows you have on hand.
....Quality deer management means shooting them before they get tough....

Smallwood

you can either use a lighter field point
or
lower you brace height about 4 twists at a time until the arrow stiffens up.

If it's real close and you don't for whatever reason want to build out the bow like James recommends(it is the best way), you can foot the arrow with a piece of aluminum shaft, put a wrap on the back and use a longer fletch or four fletch. You'll stiffen it up a little that way.

They are GrizzlyStik Woodie 500 and they are for 60-70 and I am shooting them out of a PLX 52@28 and drawing 27" I cut them to 28" and they are still weak 125 up front. I have build out the side about a tooth pick and added 20 Grn of shot in the nock and the still show weak. I guess I will have to sell them and get 400.

The Woodie seem to be the opposite of the Banshees when it comes to stiffness. The fellows selling them told me the Woodies have been real weak spine.

I,ve had good luck with an 8 or 10 inch wooden dowel glued inside the shaft it changes how the shaft flexes. You may have to try different lengths much like cutting the arrow down.

Jeff, I think that would make them way to heavy they are already 630 grains now...Howard

Howard,It shouldn't add much more than 20-30 grains. It will also give you a little more FOC.Give it a try I think you'll be surprised.$1.50 for a small wooden dowel sure beats having to by stiffer shafts.

OK Jeff, I'll pick some up today. What size do you get 5/16?

I'd take the shaft with me and check the fit you want it to fit snug. You can always use a little sandpaper to get them just so. Don't forget to leave a little wiggle room for the epoxy.

Adding weight to the rear will also stiffen them up, not a lot of ways to do that though.

Tim, is right, ya can add weight to the rear. Actually lots of ways to do it, ya can foot the nock end, ya can epoxy some lead shot into the nock opening add a wrap that goes around twice. Shawn

gold tip has some nock adapters you can use to add weight to the nock end on a 5/16" carbon arrow.

R H Clark

Have you confirmed that they are actually weak by changing point weight both up and down? If they really are weak a lighter tip should make it better and a heavier tip worse.

Just a thought.  :)
