do laminated birch arrows stay any straighter then any other wood arrow due to the fact they are laminated? or is it primarly for weight reasons. thanks for the Info.

I have found that they stay straighter than other hardwoods, but they aren't perfect.  I have always had some in higher spines and have not had to many problems with them. I found if I do a good job of straightening before I put finish on I don't have to many problems.

I haven't found laminated birch any heavier than standard birch.  Each varies a bit for a given spine, but fall into the same range.  The laminated birch I tried several years ago were fairly crooked and didn't stay straight when I straightened them.  Had much better results with standard non-laminated birch.

I have had great luck with lam. birch, once straight they seem to stay pretty good. The ones I made for Hunting last year are still straight and their over a year old. They also seem to be tougher than most wood arrows that I have used.

IMO, Lam birch are tough arrows.  Compared to all the cedar arrows I've worked with, the lam birch are heavier and tougher.  However, I have a heck of a time keeping them straight compared to my cedars.

I like them a lot. In a dozen, I sometimes get one that just won't stay straight and maybe one that I can't get quite straight enough for a broadhead so it gets a Judo.
