Does anyone have a good way to restore faded camo.  Does RIT dye work.  I have some faded Predator Fall Gray that I would like to keep in service.  Thanks.

I had another idea...Since Predator doesn't make Fall Brown anymore could their Fall Gray be "lightly" dyed brown???

I have heard you can use RIT. I never have. When my camo is in need of some touch up, I gather some butternuts or walnuts, crush em up, boil them and then add my camo to the mix after I remove the heat. I check it periodically until "done", then air dry. Then into the dryer on high to "set" it.

That's a good idea and I'd give that a try, but butternuts and walnuts are hard to come by up here.

just did a search the product i found was camo restore

I used the Camo Restore stuff once and it did a fairly reasonable job.  My camo now is the Gray Wolf Wolfskin, and fading isn't an issue at all with it, so haven't used the Camo restore in a long time.

I'm partial to faded camo too.

The more faded the better for me. I have camo older than some of the archers here, still wear it.

Here is a picture of ASAT treated with camo restore. The ASAT on the left is new,the shirt on the right is old Brigade Quartermasters stuff.

The old stuff had faded until the tan was almost white and brown was barely visible. I used brown camo restore to bring it back. Camo restore isn't permanent and will fade in a year or so of washing.

Sure wish Brigade ASAT was still made, the new stuff is junk by comparison.
