Decided to give the pigs a try this afternoon and on the way to my stand I encountered this varmint.  I asked my buddy if he wanted to try and shoot this varmint with his new revolver he said No way man there aint no way.  So I took the challenge I figured I could use a warm up shot for the possibility of a pig.  I had to put the final stalk on this bad boy and got to 12 yards and waited for a broadside shot as opposed to the headon shot.  Finally after a short while he turned and offered.  I took my time and it all came together focusing, picking a spot, and concentrating.  So this little dillo bit the dust.  Pigs were a no show probably there now with the full moon.

I came from nothing and I brought it with me.

I have heard that they have pretty white meat and look like a little pig when cleaned.  I passed on my only chance to eat one.  I wish now that i had tried it.

Eat them or not, armadillos are one critter that  property owners don't welcome and are glad to see killed.....

Good shootin'!
