Well, let's start by introducing myself. I'm Andrew Banks, I live in Odessa, TX. I've never hunted before (Jack Rabbits don't count). I just bought my first bow...........ever.

I got sucked into this whole bow thing by a buddy of mine...Tim Shoenborn. I was at his house in MI and watched him shoot his 75# Schafer bow. I was in awe. I've been a firearms enthusiast for years. This is a whole new, beautiful world.

I bought a 50# entry level recurve and really enjoy it and I'm getting better for sure. Hopefully after I'm back working again I'll be able to go on a pig hunt near me. I know they're here. The first week (16 years ago) I was in TX we went spotlighting. Another guy and I were skinning rabbits and in the distance you could hear my brother and another dude hollering, screaming and shooting behind them............HOGS! Those SOB's came flying over the pasture fence like they had springs in their shoes! I still crack up when I think about it!!   :knothead:

Don't worry my fellow "stupid newbie from hell", I'm right there with you. After a month at it, the pain has stopped, and I'm hitting the heart/lung area of a target with enough consistency to feel just about up for a hunt, but still can't figure out for the life of me how to tune my arrows!

(ANY HELP IN THIS DEPT. WOULD BE APPRECIATED    :D
