I have traded some arrows to a guy and I need to ship them. I have never shipped any thing with feathers before only veins and I just put them in a box and send them. Can I do the same thing with feathers and not worry about distorting them? Will this work or do I need to make something to hold them inside a box to keep the feathers from touching

You can use a piece of cardboard. Make it to fit inside the box, then punch holes in the cardboard to hold the arrows apart.

I use those triangular shipping boxes the USPS has.  They work great for arrows and bows.  I've never had to worry about the feathers, just staggered them, and packed it somehow to keep from being thrashed around in the box.

I send a lot of arrows just like Leo does. The boxes are free from the post office and they fit a dozen arrows just fine. I put them in 6 up and 6 down with newspaper in the top and bottom to keep things from rattling around too badly. Packing peanuts in between the arrows can work fine, too.
When I have 2dz arrows going to the same address I just tape two of those boxes together side-to-side and ship as one package.

What if they have broad heads on them?

Grey Taylor

Bury the heads in some scrap foam, wrap them in masking tape, make cardboard sheaths for them, etc. Just remember to warn the recepient to be careful when opening the package.
