I have an old 8 arrow Bear quiver that has a real stiff rubber arrow gripper. When I soak it in hot water it gets really pliable, once cold, returns very rigid.
any suggestions for looseniong this up???
thus far I have tried: brake fluid, engine oil, remington bore cleaner.
Thanx,
Brad

A company called Tech Spray makes a product called Rubber Rejuvenator. It is used to keep rubber rollers in copiers, fax machines, printers, etc. soft a pliable so they can grip the paper. You should be able to find it at a office supply store, electronics store, or go to techspray.com Hope this helps.

Hi Brad I'd see if 3rivers archery still sells the replacement gripper for those.pretty sure they do.If they do not I would be glad to pm you the info for the guy that makes the grippers for 3R's and he would be more then happy to make you a new one.bd

Good ole brake fluid will soften rubber, but the rubber is never the same, soft but no strength.
Works well on O-rings and seals  (for a while).
Follow Doc's lead and get a new one.

I always us Armor All.  When the rubber gets stiff and makes noise removing or installing an arrow, this works great.
