Has anyone shot one of these bows and have any opinions?  They look like a great bow.  Also does anyone know what poundage tred shoots.

it shoots great!  my dad had one at 45 lbs and was very forgiving.  i loved it.  it would shoot almost any arrow we put throught it very well.  i would recommend it!

I have always shot recureves but bought one to give longbows a try. Mine is LH 55# and shoots a 5575 Gold Tip cut to 30 1/2 with 225 up front.  The bow shoots very well.
I have not hunted with it but I plan to take mine out tomorrow for a little small game and stump shooting.  I can sling arrows at targets for weeks but really don't get the feel of a bow until it goes out for a walk.

I had a 65# barta bow and it shot great.  They are made by martin and are very smooth shooting, very forgiving, no hand shock. If you go to  www.threeriversarchery.com  and go to the Archers Den tab on the top left.  Then click on tips and techniques then click on The Barta Bow it will tell you more about it.

I had a father and son at one of my bowhunter's ed courses last year with Barta bows... I was not impressed with them.  There are much better options available for that price IMO.
