Just got a new Bob Lee Recurve 64" 56@28 and man I love this bow!!  This bow just fits right in every way you look at it!!

Figured Id throw a few pix up as well as ask a few questions.

One: What do you guys find to be a solid brace height for this bow?  I think bob lee says 7 1/2-8" just curious what you guys range in.

Two: I'm drawing 50-51# with this bow and I like my arrows right around the 28" mark just curious what size shafts do you think would spine for this?

Enjoy the pix!

I've got a 55@28 64" Lee that looks just like yours and 30" cx250's with 145gr points are what I use.  I draw 29" inches though so you may have to add some point weight.

I agree with you about the Lee take-downs.  They are very good bows in all respects...my favorites.

I also just made a trade for a Bob Lee Signature 62" 60# but mine has a checkerd grip.
I was amazed at how much like my Schafer Silvertips that bow feels. The throat is smaller but it lays in my hand just like the tips.
I am still trying to work out arrows myself so I be watching this one.
I was told the brace is 7 3\\4 to 8 on them.

I shoot Lee bows had a sig. just like it but now have a couple of diff. ones. The only problen if it is one is I have to use an 8 1/2" brace to make them quite like I like which I got the idea from someone else on here. The old Red wing hunters used a brace hgt. that high also.Kip

My B.L. HUNTER T/D has a brace height of 8"s. Didn't you get an instructional CD with your bow? You should have received that along with some written instructions on brace height. In your last picture that you posted, there is a gap between the limb and riser on the top limb. Make sure you watch that CD and snug up those bolts. You don't want to tighten them too much because you can do damage to the limb. Just make sure they are snug. Nice looking bow.

I have a basic 58" actionwood/brown glass Lee  TD Hunter.  It's banal & about as pretty as a mud fence, but it's nice & zippy and sure shoots well. It has been my primary bow since I got it.

I agree, they got the grip right on the Hunter.  This is the primary reason it shoots well for me, and I suspect so many others as well. My guess is most guys don't have King Kong sized mitts.  There are a LOT of outfits that should take note of this...

For what it's worth, my brace height is 8".  I shoot 3 under and my nock point is +3/8"...

If the prior owner sent along the DVD that came with it new, watch it as there is lots of good info on how to set up the Lee.

I'm shooting the BL bicentenial hunter with a Brace height of 8".  It shoots quiet and fast and hits what yor're lookink at.  I know you'll love it as much as I love mine.

Thanks for the info guys!  Yea the gent I got the bow from never sent me the dvd or anything.  Maybe ill try to contact bob lee and get one.

Hopefully this week I can bareshaft some arrows and see what works.

Deadbolt, I shot one last summer and although all I shoot is longbows, I have to admit that Lee was about as good as you get period. The only problem I see is it eliminates the need for another bow. They are a great bow and I would be proud to own one.
