I know its pretty common on the arrow shelf but can it be used for the strike plate?
Thanks
Bob

I bought a roll of the black industrial velcro at Wal-Mart about 3 years ago.  It gives me enough stuff to make rests/side plates for 50 bows.

I use the soft side for both the shelf and side plate.

After using the seal skin, cow hide(hair on/hair off), as well as a number of synthetics I have settled on the velcro "Pile" for both stike plate and shelf.

I have never had to replace any of it due to wear as long as my tuning was correct.  It handles the weather, and wears like iron.

If you look hard enough you can fine it in the classic black, brown, and even in white, green, and red.

Yes I DID....but it DIDN'T last very long as I remove it cause it was way too noisy on the draw with my arrows.  I could not believe how loud it was on those 'pin drop' days.

Could just be my arrows though...so check it out for yourself.

I use it too. I will agree with terry though. If it gets cold and a little icy it can be loud. I like my seal skin.

Use it for both, works great, easy to replace, and you can get it anywhere!
