My Rose Oak is very quiet, but Assenheimer bows are as quiet a bow as I have ever shot. Mike

Assenheimer, Mahaska and Sterling Jensen, Sterling Jensen and Mahaska were dead quite... the Jensen was 65@28 and could shoot a 480 gr. arrow out of it and was still dead quite, regret getting rid of it but my shoulder doesnt.Hve to include Bear Grizzlys, very quite.

In spite of buying and trying lot's of bows I have yet to find a recurve that is whisper quiet. The best I've found was a 64" one-piece Blacktail. Others that were not bad were a  62" Robertson Montana Falcon a older 66" Brackenbury, a 62" 1970 Howatt Hunter and 62" Bruin Master. In the acceptable range was a 66" Assenheimer, and a second 64" Blactail. All were older bows that were B-50 String.

Arwin

Martin Serengeti, Pittsley Predator, Bob Lee. All 3 were very quiet, I give the Predator #1 out of the 3.
Just one more step please!

Some dude with a stick and string chasing things.

Names that seem to keep coming up are:
Assenheimer
DAS
Whisperstick

I'm going to buy a one piece recurve real soon and pretty much decided on an other Blacktail but was also looking at DAS and Whisperstick. I really like the looks of the Whisperstick and after doing a search and reading all the rave reviews and comments I might just go with a Whisperstick. I need to get my hands on one first so I can try it out. The grip is very important to me
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

Charlie Lamb Sunbear & a Zipper Extreme.  Lucky enough to have both, and they are dead quiet.

My PSA II with a B-50 string. Slightly louder with a D-97.

It doesn't matter how or what you shoot, as long as you hit your target.
