one thing the picture illustrates that we as traditional shooters that cant our bows don't worry about is string placement.  when shooting a sight you have two options. 1) wink the sight with the string.  that is pass the string between you and the pin. thus you will know ya have got the shoot on line. 2) locate the string with relation to the riser and out it in that relationship every time.  the latter is what I use.  since the orion has a radiused sight window face it is very easy to visualize the sight picture of the string on the radius window.  picuteing the string on the riser gives me a much more natural draw and release.

you can see and imagine the string sgiht picture from the last photo.  that is where I line it up for the orion

I would like to see one without that ugly camo dip on it.    :saywhat:

That bow is probably beautiful be we can't tell.  Good Grief Rusty!!!!

Mike....do you have a photo of one similar in it's natural clothes?

this morning I had a little time.  I bent a light spring steel wire so I could use it as temp clicker. I had 1916 arrow that were 28&3/4" long to end of tip.  weighed in a 430grs.  I put the Arrowspeed Radarchron in the stabilizer boss.  I mount the 64" longbow limbs and took some warm up shots.

I set my temp wire clicker that I had duct taped on.  ten shoot with the clicker gave me 183fps average.  Hey Wingnut that is very good.  183fps at 9.55gpp, 45# and my release   :)   exellent speed.

riser ergonomics are spot in the mark for me.  gonna make a dandy 3D bow.

George - oh man that is handsome camo.  kinda gotta a pinkish orange tinge to it   :)

as an aside - if you have a bad bow arm shoulder from oldage, motorcycle accidents, or mis-spent youth activities the Doinker stablizer units can make all the difference.  the rubber coupling asborbs some the bow movement when released.  the is one of the biggest reasons I ask Wingnut to put a stablizer boss on the bow.....well it didn't hurt that you also get to use a Hawglite  :)
