Newport Chemical Deport is closing. It's in western Indiana 30 miles north of Terre Haute.

Pheasants Forever and other groups are asking the Governor to transfer 5,000 acres into a Wildlife Management Area (WMA).

The Army has maintained the facility with wildlife in mind - lot's of deer. It offers potential new hunting, fishing, biking and hiking.

The Governor needs to hear from everyone to create a new WMA at Newport. Email him at:  http://www.in.gov/gov/2631.htm

Please take the time to e-mail him and let him know that Indiana could use some more public access areas and that this area would be perfect for it contact him today! And please pass this along to ANYONE WHO YOU THINK MAY E-MAIL HIM, the more people that do the better!
