The zone I hunt in New Jersey is Zone 10. Last day is Saturday, February 21St, 2009. This Zone is unlimited antler-less w/1 buck. If anyone would like to join just leave a post..

I'll be hunting New Jersey Land Trust properties,  Sweet Hollow  Alexandria and Holland Townships, Hunterdon County
235 Acres

Within the highland hills of Hunterdon County, Sweet Hollow is a cool and shaded ravine. Steep forested slopes of white oak, beech and maples angle down from high ridgetops to the narrow stream corridor of Hackihokake Creek. Sweet Hollow Preserve serves as the headwaters to Hackihokake Creek as it courses over rounded stones and boulders. The clear, cool water with riffles and pools offers ideal areas for resident trout to seek out hatching insects. Streamside habitats are visited by mink and raccoon, while black bear and wild turkey frequent the forests. Springtime brings the return of warblers, redstarts and other songbirds. Wildflowers, including false hellebore, Indian cucumber and wild comfrey add to the site's rich diversity of plants and animals.

An initial donation by Melvin Wolock of 11 acres along the creek came to be known as Wolock Preserve. Later donations of property as well as land acquisitions by the New Jersey Green Acres Program created the Sweet Hollow Preserve. Although under two names, both preserves attain the same goal of protecting the forest and watershed of the Hackihokake Creek and the natural resources that depend in it.

Public Access and Uses:
The Preserve provides opportunities for birders, hikers and fishermen. Access is best from Route 579 or Sweet Hollow Road. No maintained trails are available and roadside parking is limited. The Trust allows registration for bow hunting only  at this preserve.
