Hi All,

Tonight I passed the California hunting test. I scored 94 out of 100 in the first time. I'm probably the first Dutch guy who did this test and passed.
I was reviewed by the guy where I'm staying and hunt this week.

I live in Wash. State and have a possible spring Hog and Turkey Hunt coming next spring in Northern Cal...... Am I going to have to take this Cal. Test before I can hunt there?
Thanks for any Info.

Congrats but what test does CA. have? Are you talking about the Hunter Safety course?
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

L.E Caroll, Mike,

I think that anyone who is going to hunt in Ca needs to go through this test. It is the Hunter Safety Course and can be done on-line.
If you need more info then contact the guy who is on the pic with the bear. His handle is Pruneemac.

L.E Caroll,
I just copied this info from CA. game and fish website: "In most states, hunters can not hunt legally unless they have had some type of formal education in the proper handling of firearms. Today, California requires hunter education training for all persons who have not formerly held a California hunting license, who do not have a hunter education certificate of completion, or who do not have a current, valid, hunting license from another state or province".

To contiune my post, archery is included as part or the hunter saftey class. I do not know your state regs but if you have taken a course already and can prove it your in, no issues.
