Barry takes his off when shooting. It goes on for transport, then off when he is in the stand. I too have gone to this method with my recurves. One less thing to carry in the woods, and quiverless bow on stand. Easy to hang in the tree or on the stand. KISS. Keep It Simple, well u know..........

I agree a great way to transport arrows, if you don't like a quiver on your bow when shooting.

Lodgetom YES I do have a VERY nice Schafer from a VERY nice man to deal with.
It must have been hard for the guy to part with such a NICE bow . I see the guy has a offer on his other bow and now He/you (opps) can get the Longbow he is after.
When I used the KK I also took it off when in the tree or blind. On to transport.
I guess my whole point was A great bow as a Schafer and a KK quiver. But as has been said K.I.S.S. and they work.

i had one but took it off when i got to my stand when hunting. it was too noisy to me. probably could have made it more quiet but i just took it off.

now i use a thunderhorn that bolts on. very quiet.

kwikee makes a quality quiver regardless

I prefer to remove the quiver from the bow while on stand so a quick detachable quiver is a great option. A cluster of bright colored fletching attached to your bow when shooting might catch a buck's eye and be a negative. The only thing I've altered is I had a friend in Montana cover the hoods in leather. I've had both smooth leather and a suede. The suede finish doesn't reflect as much light as the one in my above picture. No big deal but I like the "customized" look of the leather hoods. I've never had any noise issues with any of them. BW

I need to look at getting one for my new to me Schafer that has the Kwikee Kwiver mounts.
Thinking back, I can not think of any reason not to go with one again. Liked it when I used one back when.
