Not sure what you asking..you already use dental floss? What do you want to use now?
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

If you want a fancy version of this, you could search powow - someone posted a thread about how to tie nocks so that you could screw them up and down the string (ended up screwing up my serving - heh).

It's no big deal though.  Just figure out where you want the nock (maybe mark on the serving w/ a sharpie) and tie the floss on with a bunch of granny knots, plop on a little glue and there's your nock.

Tie a half hitch around the string serving(I use B-50) then tie an over hand knot in the two tag ends then go around to the opposite side and tie a square knot. Trim the ends and burn the tags with a lighter/match. Voila.

What Dave said works for me.

I use a tying system that I learned from fly tying stonefly nymphs.  It uses the same approach as stated above but 1 important difference is that the first overhand knot is right over left, the next (on the opposite side of the string) is left over right and so on.  I too carefully burn the ends to seal and wax.  The trick is to keep equal tension on the knots. Too loose and it will move at the most inopportune time.  Too tight and it won't be adjustable.  It's a matter of feel and practice.     Dick

Look under the "How to" resources forum.  Ray Hammond has an adjustable nock how to & Charlie Lamb has a more extensive step by step serving and nock tieing how to.  Both are great....

Richard has it right only thing i do diffrent is use super glue on serving and on top of nock you tied will not move Just make sure you have your nock point established of you will not get good arrow flight

I also try to use the right-over-left then left-over-right when I don't get confused.

I use a double deep layer--I start at the top and tie down to the nocking point then back up over the knots I've just tied for a thicker layer.

I finish with the final knot at the top (at the other end from the actual nocking point).

I haven't checked these tutorials recently, so I don't recall how they do it, but I also read an article once where they thread the tag ends under the next to the last knot before final tightening.

I use nylon serving material and melt the ends then smear the little melted glob onto the knot to act as the glue.

I would never go back to brass nock sets.
