I just pulled out and old 40# Bear Grizzly and am going to let a young trad shooter use it. When I strung it up I noticed the the upper limb has a slight twist in it. The string is not perfectly in the limb grove.

What is the best method to use to try to get the limb back in allinment? Steam, dry heat or some other method?

First just slightly twist it the other way...past the groove and let it strung for awhile.  That comes from stringing a bow between the legs.  You just have to train the limb to stay in shape and it really doesn't take much.

Thanks George, I will give that a try right now. Strung for awhile? Day or so?

A couple weeks would be better Roger.  It won't hurt the bow and will build memory in the limbs.
Make sure you are using a stringer or you can quickly train them otherwise 8^).

Run the unstrung effected area of the limb under a hot water faucet(bath tube) for about 3 munutes.  Then twist in the direction you want to straighten it, and slightly over correct it in the other direction.

Then immeadiatly run the limb under cold water.

This is the way I was told by Ric Anderson of Marriah Custom Bows.  I used this method on an old bow and it worked perfectly.
