Pete George Timberline Bows?

I don't know dollar wise, but I have a beauty that once belonged to aromakr that I wouldn't part with for anything! They are definately top of the line!

I have one of his bow's I bought from him in the early 90's.  Wouldn't part with it either.  What happened to him?

I have one of this bows that I help design for me, not just in specs, but length, etc. At the time I spent several visits with him discussing this bow.  I don't think anyone has enough money to buy the one I have!!!   What ever happened to him?         mr.chuck

I also have one, a "Safari" model. It belonged to a Mr. Nelson. It's an outstanding, fine crafted bow!!!

Glad you are enjoying that bow, I would have never parted with it if I had not broken my elbow and had to switch to left hand. I would love to find one left handed in 55/65# range.
Pete has not made bows commercially for at least 18 years. No one seems to know what happened to him or where he is. I know I'd love to locate him.

I also wish Pete George made his longbows. My 64lb'er is not as easy to shoot as it was 10 years ago. Now I wish I could have him make me a 55lb bow.
I do not know the value of the bow but mine is pretty well broken in. It is a shooter not a collector so I guess I would be lucky to get $150-$200. IMHO. What you have or want may be worth much more depending on condition.

I used that Timberline to compete last weekend at a charity shot in Tyrol, Austria. It's a very nice bow!

In fact, on the first pic I'm using my excellent 64# Sunset Hill longbow. It was on Friday at the briefing. But I had to use a lighter bow on saturday, that was the 57# Timberline longbow.
The cause was the drinking of some beer on friday evening....

I knew Pete George (Timberline Longbows) from the mid 1970's in Lake City, Colorado.  He custom made my yew bow just after he returned from John Shultz's course so my bow was one of his first ones.  I would love to find Pete again!

After an elbow injury where I lost 18 years of bowhunting, I am again shooting my bow with very pleasing results.  So I'm back!!  My dream is to bowhunt Elk in the San Juans at least one more time!  Maybe with Pete!

Pete George Timberline Longbow Information

To further aid in the valuation of a Pete George Timberline Longbow, please note: Pete took his bow mold directly off John Shultz's bow, who took his bow mold directly off Howard Hill's bow.  This means all Pete George Longbows are actually second generation Howard Hill bows.
