ILF limb ??

ON bows with the ILF limbs if you take the limbs off do you have to adjust the weight and tiller when re-attaching the limbs?? or can you just bolt them back on and be ready to go.

If the bolts are not fully tightened, you can remove the limbs without adjusting the bolts. Reattaching the limbs is fast and easy, and they go back to the same position without any need to readjust the settings. Bob Morrison says to make sure and "pop" the string a couple of times to seat the limbs after they are reattached. You do that by pulling the string back only about 4 to 6 inches and letting it go. Don't do that at full draw or even close!

Only thing I would add is that the limbs really shouldn't be fully tightened,at least not so much you can't get them on or off without loosening the bolts.

A couple of the Hoyt bows,I think Gamemaster and ?, will also take an ILF limb if you change the ILF bushing to a screw down bushing.On thoes bows the limbs tighten down all the way just like any take Down,but you don't have any weight or tiller adjustment at all.

No noise from the ILF connection. The bows are super quiet -- at least if you are talking about the Morrisons. Quietest bow I own, and I have about 30.

I am kinda thinking of one of the metal riser Tradtec bows with the ILF limbs. IF a used one ever comes up. But didnt want one if a lot of adjustments had to be made when the limbs were off and on. Sounds like the limbs are not actually bolted down tight unless at max weight..Correct? What are the chances of the bolts moving when the limbs are off and the bolts loose.
As you can tell I know nothing about the ILF limbs and bows so thanks for the help.

Mike, You will love them. Lots of variety in limb selections, Most all are very good limbs. Any ILF riser and you have too many options for limbs, even longbow.

I don't know about the Tradtech bows but DAS has set screws that engage the main limb bolt.It is not likely in any case that the screws would move on you.

TradTech locks in the limb bolts as well.
