   I also liked the line "That Buck Created a Bowhunter".     :clapper:
"When Bows shoot faster than 300 fps it ain't called Bowhunting no more!"

I can feel that deep down smile!  Good post.

Great story, and thank you for sharing.  Those of us who have grown children who hunt somtimes forget how special that first experince in the deer woods can be.  Those are truely special times for both the parent and the child.  Thanks again!

Fantastic. The first deer my son ever saw was from 10-12 feet in a groundblind. Eleven pointer with a drop tine. When I got to him all he could say was dee..dee..dee..big...big...deer! I laughed till I hurt myself.

That's one of the best kid questions ever....a couple more years and me and my son will be doing it together.

That's a lucky kid too....
Thanks,
Jim Anderson

Awesome.  I love taking my wife out and having encounters.  We now have two daughters, and my excitement builds each time my oldest shows interest in being a "Great Hunter" like Dad.
"He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze."

Great!
I can't wait to show this post to my wife.
It truly is those close encounters that keep me coming back to the woods.
