For a good demonstartion of bare shaft tuning, paper tuning and plunger tuning, check out the Masters of the Barebow Volume II.  I forget his name right now, but he is involved with Black Widow and explains/shows bareshafting and what to look for on there.  Very informative tuning by these guys, they did a pretty good job of capturing it with explanations and all.
