This is cool! I never knew there was such an organization.

http://www.pcba-inc.org/

I wonder if I can join. After retirement, my form has deteriorated terribly; My bow arm is all over the place, The 'spot' is not where it was when I looked through my glasses, I can't find an anchor, I sometimes I release 2-3 times on the same shot, the arrow doesn't go where I aim anymore ..... SOMETHING is wrong with me.   :banghead:

Kidding aside, this looks like a very worth while organization.

I'm nearly there. Still walking, but it may just be a matter of time or another injury. I use two walking sticks in the woods. In bow season, one of them is my longbow!

I had polio at the age of 4, and have coped with the physical damage well until recent years. I'll be 60 on my next birthday. My nervous system, heavily damaged by the original disease, is wearing out from overuse of the remaining nerve cells, which have branched and done multiple duty all these years. My physical condition is deteriorating at an accelerated rate because of it. It's called "post-polio syndrome". Most polio survivors who reach their 50's experience it.

"I had one nerve left, and you just got on it" has special meaning for me!   :)

I've been planning for this. I now have a 4-wheeler for getting around on my place, which I resisted for years. I've broken a leg a couple of times, and I know now that if it happens again, I may be on wheels for everything.

Thanks for bringing this up, hotfoot. Good to know that the organization is there if (when) I need it.

As usual, I'll be the bad guy....
These guys were instrumental in the law changes around the country that allow crossbows in the archery seasons. I never really understood their interest in it as no-one ever had a problem with a physically challeneged person using one in the bow season. IN fact. most states already allowed it.

What they did do, conciously or not, was help the xbow guys get the laws changed by playing off of the passion good people naturally feel for the handicapped. I had several phone conversations with them about this and it seemd they felt they were in the right. Don't blame them for that, everyone has that privilege in this country, just can't support them now and it's a shame cause the bowhunters they represent, weren't politically involved in these actions.
