I'm sitting in my pop-up trailer the night before antelope season opens, typing on my cell phone, and listening to the rain pour down.  It's not supposed to get above 60F tomorrow here near Glenrock.  It feels more like elk season in the high country.  I think it was in the high 90's last week.  The good news is there are lots of 'lopes.  Hope others hunting prairie goats are staying dry and warm.

The bad news is you are trying to hunt antelope, apparently over waterholes, and it's raining.  That's very bad.
The good news is you're hunting tomorrow!  That's very good!
Good luck, and have a great time.  I hope it dries out for you.....

In the end, it is not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years. Abraham Lincoln.

Actually, we haven't had a day over 90 yet this year here in Laramie.

And, just so ya'll know, its snowing here above 9000 ft!

Rain is a good thing when your hunting goats.  They can't hear as well, can't smell, nor can they see as well.  If your a post and stalker like I am, rain it is!!!

I am actually hunting them as they move in and out of the hay fields to feed.  I don't think the rain will hurt too much.  Plus, for the first time, I'm using a pop-up blind.  Hopefully it will keep us dry.

Also, my 17 year-old son is hunting with me.  It will be great no matter the weather.

Hope this little bit of rain cuts back on the smoke we've been breathing for the past few weeks.
