It may not dye if they sealed it at the factory.
but tandy leather is the place to get what you want.
Good stuff ain't cheap, and cheap stuff ain't good!

saringa

if there is a small space you wont really see try neets foot oil it will help preserve the leather and will naturaly darken up a shade or two

SirRobin77

How can you tell if they sealed from the factory? How do you reverse it so you can dye it?
EPHESIANS 6: 10-20

saringa

what does the serface feel like (waxey, oily?)
you can also just ajain find a small spot on the back and put a fiew drops of watter on it if it soaks in so will oil or dye. (chances are they didnt do anything to it if it isnt dyed

Bowferd

Do yourself and your sheath a favor.
Jump on over to your local farm and ranch store and purchase a bottle of Lexol Leather Conditioner in the saddle section.
Apply light coats and let it set in for at least 1/2 hour. Then buff with a clean cloth or better yet an old horsehair shoe shine brush.
To facilitate penetration let it sit in the window in full sunlight.
After you are finished if the color is not dark enough, then find the old horsehair shoe brush that you used on a bit darker brown leather, and give it a good burnishing.
Trust an old leather expert and Shoe Shine boy from the 60's.
