I shoot a lot of geese every fall, and between myself and my non-traditional buddys I have access to lots of turkey feathers each spring.  How do I properly harvest wing feathers for use in arrow building?  Do I just cut the primary's off at the wing bone?  I gather I am to sort them between right and left wing?
You can't be a leader of you don't know where you're going.

You are exactly correct.  Seperate the left and right wings.  All you have to do is cut the primaries off the wingbone.  Have fun spltting and grinding.

Baron... David Mitchell is a sponsor here and he provides services to grind feathers and do trades. Check him out on the sponsors list.... heck, I'll just bring up his last thread.
