Need some info. on the American Wolf on how it shoots and handles. I love the looks of it on the Harrison-Fisk website. Anyone had any trouble with this bow? Anything would be appreciated. What length would be best for mid 40 lbs draw? Thanks, Ken

I've shot them.  Nice bows.  Shoot like other high end hybrids.  Bow length should be determined by your draw length, not the weight of the bow.  I'd recommend 62-64 inches for a 28-inch draw.  Couple inches less for a 27-inch draw, couple inches more for a 29-inch draw and so forth.  My recommendations lean toward the long side.  Others might prefer shorter.  Definitely something to discuss with the bowyer.  These are rather expensive bows.  You don't want to make a mistake if you can help it.
The riser is shaped a little different than most other longbows.  It's dished, like many, but it's quite thin in the grip area side to side.  You may or may not like this feature.  I'm sure the bowyer can make it thicker as well, but the standard version is quite thin.  good luck.

Thanks for good advice, especially about the handle. Ken

I had the opportunity to handle and shoot Jim's bows when he was in Fredricksburg.  All of them were first class in both the looks and shooting department.  I liked the slim grip because it gave me a great tactile reference on the position of the bow in my hand.  Jim Fisk is a great guy too.  Give him a call.

I shot an American Wolf built by Harrison.66 inches I think and it was  super fine shooting.Dont know about the Fisk editions but the one I shot was impressive.

I have a 62in 72@28.  Great bow in looks and performance. I would love to have another one just like it 10-15 pounds lighter.
Best bow that I have shot for hitting were I was looking. I love the riser/grip on it.

I have a Jack Harrison Siberian Wolf 60' long and 65lb @ 26" draw.  It shoots great.  Unlucky for me I just had back surgery and will not be able to use it any more.  Might have to let it go.

I have a few Harrison bows but have spoke with Jim Fisk over the phone and he does seen to know his stuff. The one thing I find interesting though is I have never seen a used Fisk bow for sale on any web site. Not sure if that's good or bad.
