I had to work last weekend so I could not be at Comptons. I knew the book would be available for the first time and I would miss it...

This weekend I went to our United Bowhunters of Missouri rendezvous in Hermann, MO.
Mike from the Nocking Point had two cases of the books. Yes I own one!

I cannot seem to put the book down. Even better than I hoped it would be. Great history, even better stories.
Larry Hudson (who wrote a chapter in the book) told me they started with a run of 2700 books. If you love traditional bowhunting find a copy before they are gone.

I haven't seen one for sale yet. I figured "A Walk in the Woods" would have an add for it, but I didn't see one in there. Must only be available thru dealers.

I haven't yet received the summer issue of the Compton newsletter. I was hoping there would be an ad and order form. I definitely want to purchase a copy of the new Archives book.

I picked up one at Compton and I agree, it is very nice!  I am still reading it and enjoying it very much!!

I had just arrived at Compton's this year. And it was the first thing I bought. I am still reading and savoring it too! No doubt a soon to be Classic!
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

Hi John,
It was nice to meet and talk with you yesterday. I got my copy from Dennis and had him and Larry both sign it. I thinl I will try to get all the authors to sign if I can.
