I picked up an old Pearson Jet today for my kids.
It has no string. The bow is all fiberglass,straight limb and riser with recurve tips.Do I use the 3" for LB 4" for recurve approach? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks- Greg Donley

P.S. The only thing on the bow is " Ben Pearson Cat. #333 Jet Bow". It is 53" ntn.
Pick a spot.>>>>-------> Shoot straight.

Interesting thread as I just was given an old Bear fiberglass R/D bow for my kids to use.  It needs a string, too!

I dunno...I have an old Pearson Strato-Jet hunting bow that works best at higher (7.5-8) inches of brace...it just seems smoother, faster, and altogether better shooting with that high of a brace height...as for the r/d bow, I think that about 6 1/4-6 3/4 would be around the best brace height...(the old bear R/D bows like a slightly lower brace in my experience)...IN OTHER WORDS, just play around, and see what works best...
Good luck,
Derek
