How do the 1950-51 bear static recurves shoot.  From my observation it appears as if these have a fair amount of reflex, but no deflex.  I was wondering how smooth these bows are to shoot, both draw and handshock.  Any comments would be appreciated.  I love the look of these bows, screams "take me to the woods".

Hang on to your elbows Bret , if you do shoot one , make sure you use a heavy arrow.

Gotta be careful with those old bows.  If your talkin about 1950, they had aluminum lams that were prone to comin undone.  Check in the collector forum, there has been some recent discussion about them.  Tim

What Tim said. Todd from the ITBA is a Bear collector and affectionado, and he wanted me to get on this thread and advise you against even stringing the aluminum backed Bears. The were bad about delaminating.
Is it too late to be what I could have been?
