Hey guys, whats the best resourse to start knapping stones?  Is there a kit thats good and cheap?  Good book?

I can take a class for like 200 dollars, but thats crazy.

there are several sources on the internet.  Videos and some starter kits.  I am finding a tutorial helps as the books are good, but someone standing there helps a lot.  There are lisitngs for knap-ins, too.  Some nearer to you than you'd expect.  "flint knapping" is how I started

Oh yea, I would prefer real life instruction.  I need to look into it.

Big, get on the Paleo Planet web site.   Its all about knapping and the folks on that site are just as helpful as they are on this site.

Woody Blackwell has a fantastic video on sale at I think Three Rivers, or on his website.

I was able to knap after watching it once. ( not quite as well as Woody!) but you will gain a lot of info, and have the video there to watch over and over as you encounter different issues.

Thanks ray.  I will look into it.  Or at least find out if I want to invest more time in it.
