another arrow Question

Alrighty I have another question about arrows. I just recently went to my neighborhood bow shop. I found out that the new bow that I got from my uncle (wrote a topic about it), when I draw it back to my draw length of 31" is pulling 53#. All my arrows are spined for something much weaker. I am guessing that I need at least 10gpi since I am trying to go hunting for the first time this fall. Can I have some suggestions for what arrows I should get carbon or aluminum? I am not shooting off the shelf

does that make a difference in the type of arrow I need?? Anything else I need to know???

Nice bow! I'll let someone else suggest a carbon shaft.

I think a 2117 aluminum or even 2020 would be what you need for your long draw and would give you plenty of weight.

While you might get by with 2018 it might be a touch light in spine.

You'll find that rest set up on the bow to be very forgiving.

Just getting started you might be better served using aluminums.
If you can get some "samples" of shafts and bareshaft them you'll find the very best for that bow.

With a 29 1/2" draw, my 52# Widow takes 2117 with 125 grain point, or 2020 with 100 grain point.  My arrows are 30 1/2".  Does that help?

You might try the Gold tip 5575 or the CX Heritage 250s.
Carbons are super tough, do not bend, rarely break.
