Has anyone ever shoot a Hoyt Gamegetter2 recurve ? If so what do you think ?

dad

I have shot the Hoyt Gamemaster and was impressed. I shot 40# and 50#. The 40# shot a 1916 470gr arrow very fast. The 50# I had to use a 2018 arrow that was 495gr. and they were both quiet with these arrow conbinations. With these arrows. I was going to buy one but the clerk showed me the Dorado by Hoyt. This riser doesnt have the round bar on the face. I shot it and ordered one in 40# at 62" lenght. Accoring to Hoyts customer service they can give 62" limbs in that poundage. If you do a search under "gamemaster" their are quite a few that have one.

I agree, a very smooth/fast bow. A touch loud, but that can be hushed. A pair of string silencers, felt on limb backs and your set. I'm also putting silencers between limbs and riser(DAS makes them)
I love the GMII.

What about a Gamemaster 1 or is a plan Gamemaster? The only difference I see is the #2 has 2 cut aways at top and bottom of riser. What shoots the best elevated rest or buildt up rest?

Gray Wolf

Dixie I have to shoot a rest, never could shoot off the pad that comes with it.I also pad the limbs between riser.I use real thin rubber. But love the bow.           Mike

i just build the rest out and shoot off the shelf. works fine for me. i use those 3m felt furniture pads you can get at any hardware store, theyre just the right thickness. and i use moleskin under the limbs.....just like mike said..love these bows
