Has anyone tried the bocote footed cedars from Footed Shaft?  I have built a lot of wood arrows, but never a footed set.  They look good and I would like to hear your experiences.

This year I'm hunting elk with bocote footed doug fir from Archery Past. They're tail tapered, and fletched with 3 4" shield feathers. They're relatively heavy and fly like darts. If they weren't so expensive I'd use them for everything.

I use footed and tapered arrows a bunch, stabilize in flight very quickly and penetrate well.

Many years ago before I started making my own footed shafts I bought a dozen Purple Heart footed shafts from the footed shaft. They were very good quality shafts.
