Does anyone shoot Magnus 2 four blades

Does anyone shoot the 125 grain 4 blade? I wanted to know if there is any room in front of the bleeder where you could add weight to theese heads.  Thanks  Greg

I shoot the same broadhead, and what I have done is a little bit different than what some may suggest.  I take a 22 bullet off of a cartridge, I take 24-hour epoxy, mainly because it's strong, I dip that the 22 bullet flat side into the proxy, and I put it down the shaft from the nock end to the back of the insert in my carbon arrow.  I use a 22 cleaner rod.  There is another option, I also use some air gun pellets that are 12 grain ea.  And if I do not want 40 grains from a 22 bullet, I use the air gun pellets and put them together at the weight I want, same epoxy and push them down the shaft to the front the arrow.  The air pellets you can use them the way they are, or you can even cut them in half to get the weight to want.

I don't know if this is been helpful to you, because if you are shooting a wooden shafts your only option is to get heavier broadheads.

What Brokenarrow1 suggested would certainly work, but if you're trying to add weight to the head itself it would be difficult at best IMO.

There is not a lot of room in front of the bleeder, and you need most of it to get the bleeder in and out.  Of course you can't put the weight in after the bleeder is inserted, so at best you'll get a split shot or two in the nose and that's about it.

Slowbow, Thanks I thought maybe I could get some lead in front of the bleeder. I can't figure out how you take a 125 gr. 2 blade, add a 15 gr. bleeder and end up with 125 Gr.? Thanks Greg

I think there are subtle differences in the main blade, I know on the Vented heads which are both 125 grains, there is a slight modification to the vents to tweak the weight between the two (2 vs. 4).  Since Magnus also offers a 140 grain 4 blade, I'd be inclined to believe the main blade on the 125 4 blade has been tweaked a tad, the 140 4 blade would be the 125 with the bleeder added.

There is a 140 grain 2 blade screw in, but I'm referring to the 140 4 bade glue on.  It's one of the Magnus II series of glue on heads, same dimensions as the 125 Magnus II glue on just heavier.

Sorry Greg, no we don't but thanks for checking.  We plan to add Magnus II's to our line up next year.  We can always order in if you're not in a hurry and can't find what you need.
