So i need alittle advice on bare shaft tuning arrows for my new light poundage bow that will be coming soon. It's a 43#@28 LoneWolf recurve. I'm looking to kinda get some good advice on arrow brands and spin weight to start out with, to kinda be ahead of the curve when it does arrive. I'm currently using Heritage 250's on my 53#'er right now and figured that would be too heavy for a light bow. So what do you think?...

Thanks,

Paul.

my draw length is 28". So 28" arrow would be too short. Jake, what do you have in mind?..

Well, i was originally going to point you towards the carbon express terminator jr which comes in 28" stock with a spine of .628

I'd look at the easton epic 600 that spine at .600 or possibly the carbon express 90 that spines at .530...youd have to probably bump your point weight up a tad with the ce 90 heritage.. The epic would make for a nice 3d arrow and youd probably only be shooting around 9 grains per pound....the carbon express 90 would be heavier and better suited for hunting..You could also shoot the ce 90 at 30" and use a bit less point weight..hope this helps..

If you go to aluminums look at the 1816...or possibly 1916 with heavier head.... woodies 45/50s....

Jacob,

That does help quite abit, i like the CE brand and have more experience with them, and most of what i will be doing is training for hunting so the heavier weight is apealing . i'm going to give it a try starting at 30" with the lighter point weight and then adding weight or cutting as needed. How do you suggest that i go about trimming a carbon arrow? thanks again for the time to help.
