I haven't had much luck on deer yet here in Va but have had plenty of shots on squirrels. I was walking behind the house today and one ran up a tree a few feet and stopped, head up and tail down. I drew, shot, and the quick little bugger headed up the tree at the release! The old muzzy phantom hit the tree with a thwack! Right where the squirrel was sitting. I thought "man that was close" and went to claim my arrow. When I got to the shot site I saw just how close I was.

Save that hair and make a fishing lure! It's loaded with luck!

Might mess with his balance-good shooting. Tree rats are both tough and quick.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.

Wow! No different than a hawk.  I've seen several with bobbed tails!
