I'm not ready to invest in a good "Horsebow"
yet, so I'm looking at the Samick and Sam Wha
traditional koreans.  Haven't handled either yet
but the websites I've seen them on are pretty
informative.  The Sam Wha appears to be a bit
"stouter" than the Samick.  Does anyone have
any experience with either of these?

Thanks Much!

Tilbilly

I've been told by those who've shot both is that the Samick is better. The SKBs are well made.
The older I get, the better I was.

Richard,if you really want a korean bow, please treat yourself to the real deal.
Check this:type korean archery into the famous search engine, take the top link and look for equipment at the left handsite,go there and take a look...
I have owned the Samick SKB bow and it is not bad, but compared to the Hwarang model 25 it is a poor starter bow. The Hwarang is more expensive, but still much cheaper than a custom bow and it rocks. Follow this link, and you can see the bow in action. I won the horsebow class at this shoot with the new bow and only one matching carbon arrow. My woodies were too stiff.

3Rivers sells a Korean bow
Another site is selling these bows for cheaper but not sure if I can mention the name here.

If properly use with a thumbring, arrow spine should not matter with these bows.

Hi Johneil,

Just wandering why arrow spine dosnt matter when using a thumb ring.
