What materials besides the "big dipper" have been used by the Gang? Thanks.

I've used PVC and a funnel.  I used it for both laquer and a professional road paint which I thinned with acetone.  Both worked well, but DO NOT store either in the tube.  I thought I was so smart until my PVC tube had the consistancy of a hot radiator hose.  I actually think I could have tied it in a knot.  I would not use this method for gasket laquer.  Buy the big dipper.

I used steel tubing(an old broom handle) that I glued to a board. Works well enough for dipping.

The tubes used in golf bags. Can get em cheap at walmart and they stand up to all I put into them. I used a large cork in the end as a plug.

I use the golf club tube thing too, cut a piece of bicycle intertube to put ove the top and secure it with a rubberband. Drill or cut a 1/4 - 3/16" hole in the intertube to act as a squegee to remove excess laquer.

I use 4" aluminum tubing welded to flat 5"x5" plate. 4 are 12" for cap dipping and one is 24" long for full length dips. 12" holds 2 quarts of fletch laq and the 24 holds 1 gallon. Had then welded up at an irrigation company.
