I plan on doing some turkey hunting for the first time this spring, but know very little about it. What signs do you guys look for when scouting for a good area? I saw 10 or 12 turkeys last fall while Deer hunting but that sure doesnt mean they will be there come spring time i'm sure.
In the end it all comes down to the Indian not the arrows.

Andrew,Chances are pretty good the turkeys will be in the same area come spring.Get out and do some leg work and look for fresh scratchings in the leaves after the snow melts. Also the turkeys will be in fields eating newly sprouted grass or alfalfa. About early to mid March Toms will start gobbling before sunrise in there roost trees. So get out early and listen for gobbling toms.
Good Luck,
