Been wanting to post this story for a while, 2007 turned out to be my most memorable hunting season ever. I have been bowhunting/shooting since I was 7 years old.
Our little daughter who turned 3 in december this year, has taken a great interest in Deer, being outdoors.. At two, we'd go through the cabelas catalogue, and she knew the difference between Deer, Elk and Moose, "warms my heart"..
Anyway, here is a picture of opening night of the Minnesota Bow Season, prety warm as usual low 60's, lots of leaves, and we were up at my parents cabin. I asked Sarah, if she wanted to go in the woods.. So, 1 hour before dark, we get dressed, pack with juice, gummies etc.. And park the truck. We walk about 80 yards from the truck, and I find a nice log to sit on. Brought my bow, just to carry it in the woods. She made it about 15 minutes, it started to get shadowy, and she was ready to go. I snapped this picture, before we left.

As I'm putting the camera away in the backpack, she is looking over my shoulder and whispers:::
"Deer Daddy", I look over my shoulder, and 30 yards away, a doe and a fawn are looking at us, they walked around around us and we watched for a good 5 Minutes.. To say my little girl was excited was an understatement..
