Does the arc in a recurve limb affect draw weight ?

I wanted to know the affect the arc has on a recurve. If 2 bows were built identical but one has less arc in the tip of the limbs than the other, what would change in the performance of the bow ? Would the pull weight be different, slower speed ? And is a reflex / deflex longbow basically a recurve with less arc to the tip of the limb? Thanks for your input, John

Are you talking about the tightness of the recurve?  Assuming that neither is a static recurve, the one with the tighter curve is likely to yield a little higher performance, if they're the same length.  A static recurve, which doesn't open as much, actually functions more like a lever and usually is quicker still.   The draw weight would be different only if the builder made them different.  Some hybrids, which have a lot of reflex/deflex, get pretty close to a recurve in design, but they're still quite different in the way the limbs flex.  Hope this answers most of your questions.
