I have some leftover full length PSE carbon 300 arrows. Just looking for some opinions as to how heavy a tip I would need to make them shoot from a 45 or a 55 # longbow. Or is it a lost cause? I gathered from the chart that I might have an easier time making them shoot from the 55# bow.

The 300 PSE is like a 5575.

I don't think it will shoot out of the 45# bow. The 55# bow, if the arrow is long enough for you to bare shaft. Good luck.

PSE carbon 300 have a spine of .359 and 8.6 gpi which would make a fairly stiff shaft.I would start at full length and tune from there. With a longbow it might not tune to the 55# bow.I find with most longbows not cut to center a lighter spine carbon seems easier to tune to them, like a 35/55 GT with around a .500 spine. But you never no for sure until you try them, but start at full length.

SOS

If it's like a 5575, full length (32") with 250 or so grains on the front ought to put you in the ball park for the 55#.  Full length with 350 might be as close as you can for the 45#

Yeah I had these arrows from my retired 70# compound. I figured they might not fly too good from the 45# longbow, but I am going to try to get them tuned for the 55#. I am a cheapskate! and they are new and unused, so I figure I will just go heavy on the tips and see what happens.

Put a lot of weight up front.  A 55/75 is .400 and yours are stiffer than that.   Good luck though.

55/75 GTs fly well out of my 46# longbow. 30" long, 100gr. brass insert, 125g. Magnus II. Give it a try.
